Welcome to the Housing and Dining Portal!

The Housing and Dining Portal is your hub for many housing-related administrative processes, including applying or re-applying for on-campus housing, viewing your housing assignment and roommate details, requesting a room change, and accessing various housing documents — just to name a few!

Please click “Student Login” to sign in using your Andrew ID and password.

The portal works best when using the Google Chrome browser.

This portal is generally available 24 hours a day, unless otherwise noted here. During peak periods, you may experience a slight delay or receive a “try again” message. If that occurs, please try again after a few minutes or return during an off-peak time. If you have any concerns, feel free to contact us at rmassign@andrew.cmu.edu.

NOTE: For Fall 2026 New Admits

If you are a new First-Year student, please be aware that it takes a minimum of 2 business days from the time you receive your Andrew ID for your information to be imported into the Housing system. You will not be able to access the housing application until your data has been added and until after April 1, 2026. If it has been more than two full business days since you set up your Andrew ID and it is after April 1, 2026, and you are still unable to access the application, please contact us for assistance.


Renter’s Insurance Notice

Housing Services does not currently require renter’s insurance for students living on campus. While renter’s insurance is strongly encouraged for the 2026–2027 academic year, it will become required for all on-campus residents beginning in the 2027–2028 academic year. Additional details and guidance will be shared prior to implementation.
